Biography

One of the lesser-known MCs in the nine-member Wu-Tang Clan, U-God was born Lamont Hawkins, and also raps under the aliases Golden Arms, Lucky Hands, Baby U, and 4-Bar Killer. U-God missed out on the first round of Wu-Tang solo projects, which occurred in between the releases of the Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers and Wu-Tang Forever albums; however, he got his chance during the second go-round… Read more in Amazon's U-God Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Well done golden arms, January 3, 2000
By A Customer
This CD has to be one of the best to come out of the clan lately. The CD starts out slow, and you may think why did I buy this, but it grows on you quickly. I love this CD and recommend it to everyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good album, December 4, 1999
By A Customer
Golden Arms Redemption is another good solo WU album. The problem is Wu albums in the past were all classics. Since Wu Tang forever, Wu albums haven't been on the same level. If you like Wu Tang, buying this is not a waste of money, but don't expect an album on the same level as their past albums.

5.0 out of 5 stars GOLDEN ARMS FOREVER!! BUY THIS CD!, October 20, 1999
By A Customer
This CD is tight. The beats are tight, and U-God's rhymes are sharp. This sounds like a classic wu album because this is one of the solo albums that the Rza actually produced. Check out the songs "Turbulence," "Pleasure or Pain," "Lay Down," and "Bizarre." And all you out there saying U-God is just a bench warmer, now hes gonna prove you wrong. You better recognized.

I'm so tired of everyone bashing U-God. No, he might not be the sharpest blade of the Wu-Tang but he's still talented and this album proves it. He's highly underrated. Read more
