4.0 out of 5 stars What you really want to know, March 27, 2001
So you really loved The Hour Of Bewilderbeast and you want more, and you are trying to figure out if this is the right thing because imports always cost more, right...

It is not identical to The Hour Of Bewilderbeast, but it is similar and near in quality. This album was written prior to Bewilderbeast, so that should also be noted and considered. There is less music on it, and it has less lyrical prominences. The instrumental sections are still excellent, and the lyrical songs are still catchy, and their unique sound is still there. It does seem that they had further mastered their sound by the time they created their latest album though.

So it wins four stars from me. If you LOVE Badly Drawn Boy's album it is a worthy purchase, but if you only liked it, then you might want to wait for the next album.

4.0 out of 5 stars It Got Here, and It's Great, July 6, 2001
By Jeff Raymond (Millbury, MA United States) - See all my reviews
Is this as good as "Bewilderbeast?" Of course not, but if you're a fan, you want this. It's expensive, but it's well worth it so that you don't need to shell out the money for the singles. However, this EP is on the back of the French 2-CD "Hour of Bewilderbeast" import, and usually costs about $10-15 less.

4.0 out of 5 stars Finally something new.., March 30, 2000
By Killdog (Boston) - See all my reviews
Buy this Cd if you are tired of bad music. Yes, it is expensive as an import but man, it is so good. You can rationalize it by thinking, "At least I won't buy these two or three cds which will probably only have a couple of good tracks on them and become $15 singles." If you crave something new, fresh and untainted by heavy studio sterilization, pick this up. No matter who your favorite band is there are at least five tracks you will dig. As a side note, the only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars because I need to save room for a full album if that ever happens.
