Its hip carry type strap provides a secure way to "wear" the Psyc Discman, leaving hands free for other activities. ESP2 SteadySound Electronic Shock Protection is the next generation of skip protection and surpasses Sony's current 20-second Buffer Memory system, using DSP (Digital Signal Processor) technology to provide longer continuous playback in more active uses. The Mega Bass Sound System With Groove Sound Position produces deeper, richer bass tones for more pleasing overall sound, with a special Groove Sound position for contemporary music that virtually doubles the bass response compared to regular Mega Bass. You can enjoy up to 14 hours of playback with two AA batteries.

The Battery storage is inside of the Lid, and the Outside casing is a shock resistand Ruberised material. The Strap clips to the discman, handy for jogging, or just hanging out! The Controls are easy to operate, and the player runs on batteries for around 20 hours before you must replace them. Sony Rechargable batteries work best, and have a slightly longer life between charges than normal batteries.

My mom and dad tried for *months* to get me this discman, but Sony told them it was out of stock since about...June 1999.

However, there's an identical model which is metallic silver called the Sony D-EG7, which came out mid/late 1999. It still features the adjustable strap and these great street - style headphones that wrap behind your head.

Overall, the construction of the D-EG3, being the same as the D-EG7, is GREAT. A bit of a battery muncher but otherwise, it offers great bass, killer anti - skip technology (even when I'm running to the bus in the morning!) and a great design which unfortunately attracts a bit too much attention in the big city.

I've had mine nearly 2 years now, and it's still in great shape, even though I use it up to two hours a day, every day. Its construction and hard rubber base has helped it to stand being dropped, scratched, smashed between two steel doors, and even stepped on by a Rottweiler.

This is the millinum and this is the kind of stuff we need for it. This very cool and colorful looking cd player is the hottest thing going. It has awesome sound and so not skip at all and if you are a jogger that is important. It is a hit at schools because of the way it looks but looks are not everything. The only downfall of the item is when sony was in the making of it they were not thinking of its durability and if you drop it once it is a good as you dead goldfish! I hope you liked my review but I enjoy sont products and this CD PLAYER!
