Editorial Reviews

Kathy Mattea
"Sally Barris has a voice like sparkling crystal. You could have knocked me over with a feather the first time I heard her. Her writing is from a deep, yet innocent place, and her point of view is just a bit off center. I am excited for her; she is standing at the beginning of her journey in this town, with all of it ahead of her. It reminds me of the first time I heard Beth Neilson-Chapman or Nanci Griffith. It's going to be fun to watch."

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding, tuneful, evocative, catchy, October 5, 1999
By A Customer
I've been a fan of Sally Barris ever since she opened for Roger McGuinn at the Birchmere -- very few in the audience had heard of her before -- and she came out alone with guitar and just knocked everyone out.

It's great she's gotten such sympathetic musical backing on this CD. It beautifully complements her clear-as-a-bell vocals and wise, warm, passionate lyrics.

Let's hope this album gets the recognition it deserves -- it's a beauty.
