Product Description

With its large rectangular design, Sony's CFS-1055 boom box resembles something out of a 1980's break-dancing movie. Despite the old-style design, the unit offers a wide variety of up-to-date features. Detachable two-way speakers allow you to set up the speakers in different areas of the home or office to create a stereo sound effect. You can easily play around with the sound quality using the four-band equalizer that allows you to tailor sound at four frequencies, or just add some bass by turning on the bass boost. The system also features a balance control that allows you to adjust the sounds coming from an individual speaker. There is an AM/FM radio, but the tuner's analog, so there are no presets. This unit has a built-in microphone for live recordings, a rare feature in today's boom boxes. A CD line-in jack allows you to connect an external compact disc player to the system for playback or recording.
