Although the pinch-and-twist mechanism takes some getting used to, it's easy to change blades once you have it down. The mechanism accepts only T-shank blades, but offers a reliable blade grip. The base bevel adjustment is also tool-free, and involves popping out a built-in crank from behind the saw, giving a few twists to loosen, and then giving a few more twists in the opposite direction once the bevel is set.
