In a world that's constantly changing, one thing seems to stay constant: Bosch tools feel great. Their line of sanders is no exception. Pick up Bosch's random orbit sander and the first thing you notice is this is a power tool that's contoured and tapered to reflect the human hand--which is arguably even more important with a random orbit sander than it is, say, with a more powerful belt sander. The rubber grips are excellent, and the variable-speed dial sits right where your thumb naturally rests. Simply put, the ergonomics are fantastic. And as a consequence, you can use this sander for hours with minimal fatigue--something that was practically unheard of with the random orbit sanders of old. The variable-speed option is handy, as is the hook-and-loop system for quick paper changes. The Bosch sander also won us over with its powerful, all-ball-bearing design (smooth ride) and its adjustable front handle. The handle has a number of settings, allowing each user to optimize his or her different leverage points. But how does it sand?
