The motor is fan-cooled, too, so it doesn't overheat. The cast-iron table lends plenty of heft and contact surface, while the rubberized infeed and outfeed rollers support the work without marring it. As is standard with most planers, it comes with an incorporated dust chute--so it's simple to hook up to a dust collector and keep the shop clean.
