Product Description

Amazon.com Review

Benchtop table saws have come a long way in the past few years, evolving into precision machinery for even the finest joinery. Here's a stand that's worthy of those little dynamos. It's preset for several models of Makita, Hitachi, DeWalt, and Delta, but it's easily adapted for saws with tops up to 24-1/2 inches deep and 27 inches wide. This is by far the sturdiest benchtop accessory we've seen, with the best array of options. At a great working height of 34-1/2 inches, you'll increase your rip capacity to a burly 27 inches and won't have to call your next-door neighbor anymore to give you a hand when you're cutting sheet goods. The fence is tubular steel with an adjustable magnified hairline indicator for superior readability. Something we noticed and really liked on this stand was that the front edge sits just a bit lower than the saw table, so stock slides smooth as silk without catching. The optional add-ons are great, too: the PM2715XL extension adds a router table to your saw and increases rip capacity to an awesome 49 inches. An outfeed table is available, too. And should you need to, the saw removes easily and the stand folds flat for storage and portability. A winner all the way around. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Product Description

This basic stand extends rip capacity to 27 inches while increasing fence accuracy of benchtop table saws. The folding legs bring the saw up to a comfortable working height of 34-1/2 inches. The high-pressure laminate top increases the work surface of the saw by nearly 90%. Setup and breakdown of the unit are extremely quick. Once the saw, fence, and hairline indicator have been calibrated, the line-up system returns the saw to its original setting, ready for use. For use with Makita model no. 2703, Hitachi model no. C10RA, and DeWalt model no. DW744.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best stand you'll ever use, March 14, 2000
I've had my 2700xl for a few months now. I must say ," Bravo Rousseau." I formerly had the trojan tablesaw stand for my old Makita 2708. I almost got another one for my new makita 2703. I'm glad I didn't. Don't get me wrong, the trojans are very nice . I love the hand truck design. It's very portable. Regardless, I decided on the 2700 xl. The fit and finish are superior. It provides a wider and deeper platform for more stability. The construction is heavier. The fence is both larger and more refined. The side board is actual formica top and bottom, not thin melamine on only one side ,like on the Trojan.Probably the most important difference is that the saw is not mounted permanently in the stand. If you buy the trojan you are stuck with the whole contraption all the time. Not good if you just want to make a few quick cuts on small material. With the Rousseau you have the option of using the saw alone or in the stand. I highly recommend the 2700xl. ( or the 2700 if you have a different saw ) It makes ripping large sheet goods a breeze. Even if you are alone. It extends the rip capacity to 28 inches . If you require more, extentions are available. The fence is very sturdy just like the rest of the unit. It is very accurate, easy to adjust and very smooth. If you are concerned about the saw moving around or being loose because of not being permanently mounted, don't be. Rousseau's engineers devised a very simple yet sturdy and fully adjustable temporary mounting system. Pop the saw in and it doesn't budge. Pop it back out just like that. It doesn't get any better than this. I also bought the outfeed table. With it even long stock is a snap. No dancing around the spinning blade to complete cuts from the back side. It supports 4x8 sheet goods very well. The whole thing is well engineered and well built. Buy one, it could save your back, or maybe even your fingers.I wish everything was as useful as my Rousseau.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Portable Saw Stand on the Market!, May 26, 2003
By R. Cade (Palm Beach Gardens, FL United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I bought my Rousseau 2700 saw stand nearly twenty years ago. I am a professional cabinet installer and use this product with my 8 1/4" Makita bench saw. It has been used five days a week, 50 weeks a year for nearly 20 years. It looks awful, there is virtually no paint left on it, the table board and the out feed table are full of knicks, dings, and oops cuts. In addition to use as a saw, it gets used as a workbench, utility horse, mitre saw stand, and lunch table. Through out all the years of job site use, and sometimes abuse, it is still very acurate and holds it's square as well as the day it was new! In my thirty six years in the cabinet trade I've had many tools come and go. None of them can even hold a candle to the quality and durability of this saw stand. This product deserves fifty stars! Thanks Rouseau, you are the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Portable/Indestructable, October 28, 2000
By A Customer
I have been a profesional cabinet installer for twelve years and owned this stand for eight. When a new leg locking system came out, I sent in the stand and they retroed it for free and paid for shipping. Quality stand and they stand behind it.
