Well, the hose reel itself works flawlessly. It's very smooth, and I haven't had any problems with the seals leaking. The drum has a nice amount of turning resistance, so it won't keep spinning after you've got enough hose. I wish the inlet hose was a little longer, though - I can't hook it up to my garage air source unless I set the reel on a box or something (I've got it mounted to the wall, so it's not a big problem). I think this reel is a bit pricey, but it is very high quality and you'll definitely appreciate it if you're sick of coiling up hoses by hand.

My complaint with this product centers around the description. I bought mine in June of 2000, and the description (and price) is exactly the same now as it was then - "...Air Hose Reel Caddy with Stand". But mine didn't come with a stand!

So I don't know what they actually include now - If the stand really is included, then it's a good deal relative to other mail-order companies. But wherever you buy this thing, I still think it's a bit pricey.

After buying my PC compressor I needed something to put my air hose on. After reading all the reviews on reels I selected this one because it handled 100' of hose. When I received the unit and unpacked it I first noticed how sturdy it was, very well made. I attached the hose and got to work. I needed to go about 75' away from the reel. I started pulling and it unwound easy. When I reached my work place I looked back to see if the reel would keep unwinding my hose, Nope! it stoped and kept the unused hose secure on the reel. Anyone who has a compressor and needs to keep their hose wound up and secure should buy this product!

This reel is great for keeping your hose neat. Anyone that has used air hose knows how it likes to get into a big mess and tangle, and this eliminates that. The reel was easy to assemble. It is also a great bargain here on Amazon.com. Everywhere else charges more for just the reel, plus an additional $20 for the stand! I'd recommend buying it here!
