5.0 out of 5 stars what to say, December 4, 2005
By Resonatine (California) - See all my reviews
It's just good, you wouldn't be here reading this if you weren't already interested in Madder Mortem. Good luck finding a copy, but if you can you won't be disappointed. It's different from their following albums, but there's something about this album...it's got a definite vibe, that's for sure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully dark and atmospheric, December 28, 2001
By Joe Fisher (Leesburg, IN United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Mercury (Audio CD)
This album is the first public release from the band Madder Mortem, to my knowledge only an obscure demo was produced prior. This album is classified as "metal" but that classifacation does not due it justice. There are many harder elements giving some songs a more metal feel but it isnt the norm. The huantingly beautiful female vocals are what really captivated me. This is album is very difficult to classify so i wont even try. I will just say that if you enjoy beautiful soft almost folkish female vocals swimming in songs laden with slow paced metal guitars and drums. you will love this album.
