5.0 out of 5 stars Christy at his Best, August 13, 2003
By "zahnmann" (San Antonio, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Live at the Point (Audio CD)
Christy has several live albums but this one has to be his best. From open to close, this CD does a great job of capturing all the energy of a Christy concert. The recording quality is very good and doesn't allow crowd noise to impinge on the music. It's a good mix of traditional stuff and Christy originals, and with a whopping 14 tracks its bound to please! This CD is a must-have for Christy collectors and would be an excellent choice for a first CD from him.

5.0 out of 5 stars this is what christy moore is all about, December 22, 1999

if you ever had the priviledge of seeing Christy perform live, you will know that his albums don't come better than this. Christy doesn't need a band, he is one all by himself (although you might only see him play the bodhran and the guitar). LATP gives a perfect example of what Christy is all about: the ballads, the humour, the wit, the terror, the story-teller. Highlights: the intro to "Fairytale of New York" and revised versions of "Delirium Tremens" & "The Knock Song".

5.0 out of 5 stars My Favorite Christy Moore CD, June 19, 2003
By "southbury1" (Southbury, CT USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Live at the Point (Audio CD)
'Live at the Point' is Christy Moore at his best. A wonderful blend of traditional Irish songs magnificently performed by this accomplished artist. I usually don't like 'live performances' but this one is an exception. While listening to 'Live at the Point' you actually feel like you are in the audience and enjoying an exceptional performer doing what his does best. It is a uplifting experience and I can (and do)listen to it over and over again. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes traditional Irish music.
