4.0 out of 5 stars A good 60's-70's collection, August 20, 2002
By Arye Mirovski (Haifa Israel) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I didn't buy that triple album because of Ringo, one of the worst performers in rock music. I bought it because it includes great live collection of 60's and 70's hits. Somehow my album is a little bit different from the one that's offered in Amazon.com (it includes 2 titles of Eric Carmen, instead of 2 of Gary Brooker on the third disc) but it doesn't matter. It's a great opportunity for us to listen to oldies of BTO (Bachman is taking care of business!), Guess Who (Hey, Mr. Lenny Kravitz, listen to Burton Commings "American woman" before you cover it up with your awful version!), Procol Harum (where have you been all those years, Gary Brooker?), Peter Frampton (what about a new album "Frampton stays alive"?), Jack Bruce (Gold stays gold even 35 years after!), Joe Walsh (The Eagles were not only "Hotel California" and "Take it easy"!) and most of the rest. The old guys can rock you even today, and they can also teach the young rockers a few lessons of how to do it right. I gave it only 4 stars, because of Ringo himself, that hardly sings, and some more boring stuff that is included here, but after all, I recommend.
