Where was this last fall when we were knee-deep in rakes, plastic bags, and complaining teenagers? What a spiffy contraption this is. The collection system--an 8-foot hose and can cover--fits all Black & Decker blower/vacs. The idea is genius: Attach the adjustable drawstring cover to your garbage can, attach the hose to your blower/vac. Pretend you're in your living room and vacuum the yard. The leaves are sucked directly into your garbage can. No more bending, scooping, lifting, sweating, or cajoling grumpy teens into doing autumn's most bedeviling chore. I put a large trash bag in a trash container and pull the edges over the top then tie the B & D leaf collector under the handles of the container, this way it can not slip off, attach it to my blower/vac and start vacuuming the leaves. What normally took two to three hours, now took less than one and I didn't have to bend over once.
The release on the pull string was a little tricky at first but after opening and closing it a few times I had no problems.
Without the B & D Leaf Collection System I was emptying the bag almost once every few minutes and making a mess each time. Now once the container if full I just tie the trash bag pull it out and put in another. I highly recomend it.

I was daydreaming of just such a system this year as I spent many hours sucking up the leaves from the corners of my yard. I have a 2 acre lot and its quite a chore. The original bag was quick to fill up, but then it took ages to go through the routine of detaching, emptying the bag into the old paper leaf bags, and then re-attaching the bag.
I saw this system in a store and thought I'd take a risk to order just the collection system from Amazon for my gas blower. With a bit of modification I attached it to my gas powered Homelite blower, got some Extra Large trash bags (45 gallon) for my 45 gallon square trash can.
WOW! I was off - what a system. Now I was sending most of my time sucking and almost no time bagging.
I'd recommend you use the largest trash can possible (the bag fits better) - with wheels (to help your mobility) - and put a couple of bricks in the bottom (to keep it stable as you move around the yard).
I LOVE THIS SYSTEM. If you want to take a chunk of time out of the annual chore, do not hesitate, buy it now.

Without a doubt, the Black & Decker Blower & Leaf Collection System is the best and most simple device ever invented. For all those homeowners who love trees, here is the answer to all of your Autumn cries. Clearing leaves from my yard was as simple as vaccuming my living room, if not easier! Finally, I can look forward to yard work knowing that it will be effortless and even fun!! Oh, and by the way your neighbor will thank you for cleaning thier yard too!! Sincerely, The Average Joe
