In Italian, "mezzaluna" means "half moon," and the curved shape of this incredible chopper echoes the moon's shape in the midpoint of its cycle. Its extremely sharp blades make quick work of vegetables, meats, and hard cheeses, and are ideal for dicing leafy herbs. Hold the mezzaluna firmly by the black knobs and, with a rolling motion, seesaw the blades over a thick slice of onion or a pile of fresh cilantro.
