From the Actor
I first met Emmy and Peabody award-winning producer Jim Carr at an adventure travel show in Atlanta in February 1998. A couple of months later, we decided that Jim would film one of Specops' tours in Costa Rica.
The Big Adrenaline Rush! is an extreme adventure designed and led by U.S. Special Forces veterans across some of the most beautiful and exotic locations in Costa Rica.
After talking with other tour operators, lodges and transportation companies just days prior to filming, the Specops 8-minute corporate video was quickly transforming into a broadcast-quality production called Travel on the Edge. Teaming with Costa Rica based award-winning producer Gordon Durnin who filmed the project on betacam, and fusion-rocker Manrique Guido creating the video's unique sound, Travel on the Edge transformed into a 90-minute broadcast-quality production with an original sountrack.
The video shows exploding volcanoes, whitewater rafting, Scubadiving Guanacaste and Cano Island, bungee jumping, surfing Ollie's Point and Witch's Rock; we glide through rainforest canopies with The Original Canopy Tour, reel in a giant sailfish, and leap out of flying helicopters.
Interviews with resort managers and tour operators complete this information-packed and visually stimulating travelouge. It's the perfect way to see it before you do it and for travel agents specializing in this incredibly diverse adventure tourism destination.
I hope you like it,
