This is a very quiet, relaxing CD from Mr. Adrian. The pieces are soundscapes describing a lakeside environment. Although there are some natural sounds in the CD, the focus is on creating a soundscape which takes you to the water's edge, and then meditates you into your own space. The music is not pushy, but it is also not dull. I find this wonderful to put on in the evening, or with headphones at work. Quiet is not always bad for you....

The way of healing through carefully manipulated sound is explored to perfection in Rudy's latest composition. The path begins with the sound of gently lapping water and flows through many atmospheres that can almost be touched or breathed. The flow is like the wind rippling over the surface of a misty lake, whose waters swirl in eddies of sound. Overall, there is a feeling of calm while the mood is diverse enough to keep the listener poised in contemplation.

At times, the ambience of atmospheric sounds is enriched by Nick Prosser's Baroque flute. A masterly work indeed that I have to place with the greats of atmospheric music.
