Product Description

Amazon.com Review

Cuisinart's excellent nonstick cooking surface has been paired with the superior conductivity and durability of anodized aluminum to provide a multilayer nonstick surface that can even be placed in the oven, under some circumstances. This skillet's handle has a ventilated design, which keeps it cool to the touch, even after it's been cooking on the stovetop for a while (be careful if using it in the oven, though). The skillet also features an additional "helper handle" to aide in lifting when it's full. Its large capacity is ideal for anything from omelets to stews, and its nonstick surface makes it easy to cut down on a dish's fat, as well as making cleanup a breeze. A dishwasher's harsh detergents will harm the anodized aluminum, though, so it's best to always wash it by hand. The skillet comes with a lifetime limited warranty and an especially helpful guidebook. --Julija Gelazis

5.0 out of 5 stars A great all-purpose pan, February 14, 2001
This was the first Cuisinart non-stick pan I purchased and I use it daily along with the 8" non-stick. With this pan I no longer have a need for a saute pan and the clean up is amazingly easy. It does not pick up and pass along the flavor of the previous meal, something I've found with other non-stick pans. I wish a lid was offered as an option but I've solved the problem with a sheet of aluminum foil when I need to simmer something covered.

I'm ordering a second one because this is a great price for this workhorse of a pan.

5.0 out of 5 stars a joy to use, September 21, 2001
By Ruth S. Shelton "psiam" (Louisville, KY USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I've been using the Cuisinart 8" non-stick skillet for several years now and found that I was trying to cram way too much into it because it was such a pleasure to use.

It was time to move on up. This pan is everything you'd want it to be. It heats evenly and quickly, the non-stick coating stays put in the pan, and the size is perfect for making dishes like chicken cacciatore or stroganoff for a family of 4. I only wish it came with a lid, but that's a small thing compared to the absolute functionality of this pan.

Oh yes, the helper handle is terrific.
