Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

The KB18 Advanced Photo System camera from Kodak features a 35mm lens that captures portrait and group shots. Point-and-shoot simplicity and the automatic flash give you better-exposed pictures indoors and out. The flash also reduces shadows when you are shooting in bright sunlight and reduces red-eye. The sliding lens cover protects the lens from dust and scratches and acts as an on/off switch for the camera.

A bright viewfinder displays the selected picture size and simplifies camera operation. The Kodak KB18 will not operate if it is loaded incorrectly, but you can check if you'd loaded it properly by looking through the film door. You can remove and reload the same film cassette or switch film speed with Kodak's midroll change feature. This package includes a roll of Kodak Advantix color film, two Kodak Photolife AA batteries, and a detachable camera strap.

Kodak offers a one-year warranty on parts and labor for this camera.

Product Description

3.0 out of 5 stars Just a Basic Camera., October 19, 2000
By Bethany McKinney (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The actual pictures produced with this camera look fine. There is nothing special about the photo quality, and certainly nothing special about the camera itself. You have to advance the film manually. And besides a lens, viewfinder, and flash, there aren't any special features. But if you just want a cheap, basic camera, this one is a good one to go with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best starter camera, July 27, 2002
By "mensan-canada" (Toronto, Ontario) - See all my reviews
I've been using this for 3 years. Extremely cheap, extremely basic camera with the Kodak quality. Runs for a hundred shots on a set of batteries. After some experimenting on a roll of film, you'll grasp the capabilities of its lens and flash and you'll improve your shots dramatically. Excellent gift for youngsters while teaching them how to choose lighting and subjects and the art of framing one's subject. You'll have no fear of it getting stolen, broken or lost by the child.
