Great Motor, but Poor Connection to Blade, March 22, 2001
We bought this blender, but have been extremely disappointed. Worst Feature: The motor may be good, but the gear it spins is made of rubber, which fits in to a piece of plastic which turns the blade. If you use the pulse function, the rubber gear has a tendency to "give" a bit, eventually spinning inside the plastic sleeve. Basically, it is like a big rubber eraser that erases itself away. We had the rubber gear replaced twice, but then noticed that the plastic it fits into was also wearing (being erased) away. Second Worst Feature: The plastic gasket, mentioned by a few reviewers, is also hard to re-seal. It is hard to dismantle the unit for cleaning, and then get it to go back together properly. If the plastic isn't perfectly aligned... well, then you have something interesting to clean up! Third Worst Feature: After one of those gasket-leaking experiences, the little rubber feet stuck to the cabinet instead of to the blender. A couple of them wouldn't go back to where they were supposed to, so we ended up with a wobbly blender. The motor is really good, and the results are great - when it works. If you have one, just be careful of the little rubber gear!

Don't break the Rubber Gasket, May 3, 2000
I like it!, but the problem I have found it with it is The Rubber Gasket on the button of the Glass Jar, is you don't align it perfectly then you will have all over the counter the liquid that you are trying to mix.And then, other problem I have found out with it is trying to buy a new Rubber Gasket, Krupps doesn't have a place on the web or anywhere else, where you can buy accessories, so please take care of it. The Blender (if you didn't break the Gasket) it's real easy to clean, to use, and all the buttons make it incredibly easy to get the results you really want. If you press WHIP button, you really get it whipped. If you press the Mix button is really mixes it, crushed ice is perfect. Overall is the best piece of equipment you can have in your kitchen, and best Blender I have ever used not design for industrial use, only and only If you don't break the Gasket!, then the whole blender is useless..

Yummy frozen drinks, low price, December 2, 2000
By A Customer
I am a big fan of this not so little blender. The blender is somewhat of an optical illusion because this puppy holds 50 ounces of liquid. Unlike other customers, I have had no problems with the functionality of the blender. No drippage. No seepage. No problems putting the blender on and taking it off. No problem cleaning the unit. For frozen drinks, don't use the auto ice crusher. I found this feature only works OK - particularly if the ice has been in your freezer for a long time. However, if you pour all contents in and use the liquify button instead, you will end up with one well blended pitcher of frozen delight. I used to have a lower end blender that, while functional, did not really mash the ice in an acceptable form. After each blend, I'd needed to pick out the really large chunks of ice that remained at the top of my frozen concoction. That blender is history. Additionally, I've used other higher end blenders and yes, they make good frozen margaritas as well; but you can get just as impressive results with this blender at a lower price.
