Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com
This commemorative CD is designed to "bring unity [and] emotional and spiritual healing through music to the families and to the hurting Denver community and beyond." Featuring performances by local artists, Columbine students (including Jonathan and Stephen Cohen, whose "Friend of Mine" became an unofficial anthem for survivors), and even King Crimson's Adrian Belew, the album's heartfelt and earnest songs partake of one of music's basic functions: solace. --Rickey Wright

Product Description
A compilation of national artists joined together to provide financial support through the sales of the "Lullaby for Columbine" CD for the ongoing assistance of the victims and their families of Columbine High School.

To take a preventative approach to violence by setting aside a portion of the funds for causes promoting non-violence and conflict resolution counseling for youth. To provide ongoing emotional support needed to help parents and other survivors facilitate the reconstruction of a "new life".

To bring unity to all the creative efforts of local talent for this cause. Through the collective effort of these instrumentalists, singers, and composers, bring unity, emotional and spiritual healing through music to the families and to the hurting Denver community and beyond.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lullaby For Columbine, June 29, 2001
By Christinne Rose Haw (Hayward, California United States) - See all my reviews
I think this is a great cd for various reasons. First of all, it will certainly help the families of those people who lost their life and who got hurt in the tradegy. It will also help the students who were there when this tradegy happened as it will help ease their pain. As for people like me who weren't there, it will help us realized the magnitude of the tradegy, help us feel the pain that the families of the victims felt, is feeling, and will be feeling forever, and it will help us realize that this society has lost its love and faith in God. The songs were beautifully written and beautifully sang. It is the best cd that I ever bought as it will always help me remember the children and teacher who lost their lives because our society has fogotten what really matters in this world. For the families who suffered, my sorrow and prayers are with you. As for the general audience, buy this cd and I will guarantee you that you will not regret it financially, spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
