Biography

No Limit Records CEO and multi-platinum artist Master P built his empire from the (under) ground up. His rise from cult hero to commercial superstar has allowed him to create and disassemble acts at will, making for a controversial and prolific career. In 2000 the 504 Boyz -- a rotating collective of some of rap and hip-hop's finest, including C-Murder, Silkk the Shocker, Magic, and Krazy, and led… Read more in Amazon's 504 Boyz Store

Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com

Even as the Cash Money clique continues to twist its formula just enough to keep its singles intriguing, Master P's No Limit posse seems unable to move off the cheesy-production-and-gangsta-cliché tip. Goodfellas' most notable track, the single "Wobble Wobble," praises the female posterior with none of the charm of Juvenile's "Back That Azz Up," which may still be in heavy rotation on the Box when the 504 Boyz's next lame album appears. As for the rest of this one, the group's gruff but monotonous rhyming on the likes of "If You Real, Keep It Real," "Roll, Roll," and "Beefing" makes the thug life sound more boring than finishing school and getting a good job somewhere off the streets. --Rickey Wright

5.0 out of 5 stars No Limit 2000, May 7, 2000
It's been almost 6 and a half months since No Limit released an album. The new 504 Boyz cd was a good way of starting back up. 504 Boyz was originally supposed to be P, Silkk, and Mystikal, but now it is just all the No Limit guys. P has signed a lot more artists recently, and some of the old ones have faded out, like Big Ed, and Steady Mobbin. I have 32 NL albums, so I'm a pretty big fan. The newest members, D.I.G. and Krazy are very good. Krazy is on about half of the 504 Boyz cd, and sounds really similar to Pac. 504 Boyz is filled with good songs. The whole album is worth listening to. The only thing that I didn't like was that they put 5 old tracks on it. This cd is far better than any Cash Money album out. Roll Roll, Big Toys, Whodi, Wobble Wobble, Them Boyz, Thug Girl 2, Souljas, Enemies, are the best songs. This cd should be #1 on the billboards for its first week, hopefully it will knock off that damn NSYNC cd. Just like Eminem says, "I'm sick of you little girl and boy bands, all you do is annoy me". No Limit is who to listen for in the year 2000. No Limit has always been what to listen to, but because of all the air play that Cash Money got, people started hatin on No Limit. No Limit's back up in it. No Limit, runnin it for the 2000. Go pick up 504 Boyz, and you won't be disappointed. Also watch for the new No Limit Gear. [[\] [[] [[_ [[ [[\/] [[ "[". Hoody Hoo.

5.0 out of 5 stars WHO SAID NOLIMIT DIED OUT, July 10, 2000
By A Customer
I'm giving the 504 Boyz 5 stars because there isn't an album out that can even compare I know some of their latest joints haven't been living up to the NO LIMIT standard but now it's over P's came back to the thrown of the DIRTY SOUTH and for that matter the entire rap game with this albulm it's got something for everybody like (WOBBLE WOBBLE) for all the ladies in the clubs and one of the tightest tracks I've heard since (BOUT IT BOUT IT) with (SOULJA'S) featuring SNOOP,AND KRAZIE. and (WHERE YOU AT WHODI) which I think will be the next video for this alblum so basicly you just need to go get this albulm for all you that jumped of the TANK cause now it's back and better than ever. And to all of you that's hatin like Pastor Troy,Cash Money,Miracle you need to show P some respect cause you wouldn't be where your at today if P hadn't open the doors for the South. So if your like me and tired of hearing DMX bark on every albulm like a pup and CASH MONEY talking Bout what they got knowing damn well it's rented then go get the 504 BOYZ and bumping loud has possible ya heard me. Oh yeah get ready for the new releases from SNOOP,SILKK,MYSTIKAL,C-MURDER,and the new LP from MASTER P called GHETTO POSTAGE in stores September 26 and you know it's gonna be hot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hasn't left the Stereo, June 18, 2000
Yo, this joint right here is bangin'. I don't know why all those folk are tryin to hate on P. The man is doing his thang and we need to give him props for that. All this Cash Money vs. No Limit mess is nonsense. They both from the same hood. If they were smart they would do something together. But enough about that. Let's talk about "Goodfellas". We have all seen the coming soons for this album since the beginning of time. I remember when it was just P and Mystikal. Then Silkk was added and the anticipation for this album grew. I was like "when in the world is this album gonna be released". Every No limit album would say "504 Boyz-Coming Soon". Finally, it came out of nowhere as I was watching Rap city one day and I heard "Wobble Wobble" and I knew that this would be the year for No Limit to take over again. The excitment hit a new level cause I knew that it was truly coming soon. Then the album dropped and I was on it like white on rice. I was a little disappointed not hearing too much from Nino Brown, G-money and Vido. They seemed to change the lineup adding just about the whole No Limit click, but I got over that quick. From start to finish I was satisfied with the No limit of the year 2000. You won't be skippin' tracks on this one. Now P is coming with "Ghetto Postage" and the lineup is looking pretty nice for the rest of the year. No Limit is back in this here. Don't sleep on em!
