5.0 out of 5 stars Driving Hi-NRG from beginning to End, July 17, 2000
By "t10chimuyo" (SoCal, Los Angeles) - See all my reviews
From the first song to the last on this mix CD, Ferry Corsten introduces to you in impeccable Ministry of Sound style the best of tomorrow's club floorsmashers. Thats what the Trance Nation series is. Tomorrow's music for today. In this third install ment beginnin with Chicane's Dont give Up bryan Adam's flanged voice presents a great melody with a message - "dont give up" then is seamlessly fused into Fragma's Toca Me (an absolutely emotional melody guaranteed to get you going) what i might complain is the remix of ATB's Killer (leaving out most of the vocals) Des mitchell's Welcome To the Dance should be a favourite of anybody who loves some driving fast paced Trance. The second CD offers the newest hits such as Ariel's A9 and the Italian duo's Arabian Pleasure (look for both of these plastered all over the UK clubs) Jan johnston of BT fame presents her heavenly vocals once again for Tomski's Love will Come- to die for melody. Ending with a favourite, Solar Stone's Seven Cities with a soft harmonic atmosphere to make you long for Trance Nation 4

4.0 out of 5 stars The tunes on Trance Nation 3 is SWEEEET.......however...., May 21, 2000
By "gunz-van-dyk" (Melbourne, E. Keilor Australia) - See all my reviews
So after dishing out my $ on this CD was i not wanting to bedisappointed, cause it's a lot of money to be spending on a CD.

The track selection is Superb with tracks from Chicane, System F, JDS, Gouryella, Matt Darey, Paul van Dyk, Sasha, Olivier Lieb, Amber, ATB, Moby etc. It'il have your Stereo rockin'

Then why am i giving it 4 instead of 5, ur probably asking?

Well, firstly, the mixes chosen by Ferry Corsten and System F were not exactly the BEST ones for that track and to fit 20 tracks on a Cd, most CD's have to be about....3.5 minutes (which is sometimes less than Radio Edits) so tracks like Paul Van Dyk's "tell me why" are missing the vocals and Olivier Lieb's tune Subraumstimulation is really Incomplete! etc

so i guess, buy it if u can REALLLY REALLLY afford it =)

2.0 out of 5 stars I expected better, June 23, 2000
By A Customer
I felt that this mix didn't stand up to Trance Nation 2 or the Clubber's Guide to Trance. I just thought the tracks were missing something. Many of the songs have awful lyrics that detract from the beat and in many cases the songs are so short that they miss the real climaxes that are available in the longer version - for example, the Walhalla song by Gouryella sounds totally different if you listen to the original mix. And the original mix is hands down much better than the version on this CD.

MOS should have done better. This wasn't worth the [money]. Wait a couple months and then download much of it off of Napster... Or buy either Trance Nation 2 or the Clubber's Guide to Trance mixed by ATB. Both are also MOS productions, and although they are slightly older, I think they both run circles around this collection.
