4.0 out of 5 stars Fits my purposes, August 7, 2000
By Gordon (Oxford, UK) - See all my reviews
This is an excellent, compact personal stereo. My previous walkman had been feeling the years, and I wanted a replacement that included a radio. The reception is good, and there are plenty of presets available, which makes it possible to tune several FM frequencies for a station that you listen to on journeys crossing FM areas. Battery use seems reasonable, and the sound is good.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good walkman, but fragile., December 30, 2001
By Emilio Isaac (Brooklyn, New York USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Initially, I was very pleased with the Panasonic RQ-CR15V. The sound is good; the headphones are very comfortable;
the FM reception switch (it helps prevent interference from stronger stations) works well and the XBS (super bass) is
good. The Hold State (it disables the face buttons in case they're accidentally, touched) is a nice feature; the unit is very
compact and the battery checker is nice. Unfortunately, this walkman is not durable. I dropped it once on linoleum and
the cassette mechanism was damage. The volume control later developed a short. The play time for tape and radio is
inflated. Panasonic claims 24 hours for tape and 34 hours for radio, but it's more like 14 (tape) and 28 (radio) hours. I put
the blame on the crystal display. It puts an extra drain on the batteries. Overall, it's a good walkman but be gentle with it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed walker, September 7, 2001
By A Customer
The belt clip did not hold the recorder in place. I had to hold the recorder instead of weights as I walked. Sound was good, but the tape recorder stopped working after less than 30 days.
Instructions on preset channels difficult to understand. My previous Panasonic recorder lasted eight years. What a disappointment this one is!

2.0 out of 5 stars It eats my cassettes
Works ok as a radio, but after 6 months use, it's started chewing up tapes at a rate of about one in three. Looks like you get what you pay for.

1.0 out of 5 stars Exercise - NO!
I bought this to use while walking on the treadmill and it will not stay put without being held. It is more awkward than it is useful. Sound is good if you're not moving!
