not as good as the original, but anyway..., July 29, 2000
ok, i admit i'm a fan of the a.b.'s, so naturally i bought the remixes - and naturally, i didn't find it as good as the original 'bambule'... but it's still worth the four stars. mind you, that's no ordinary hiphop which sounds like wu-tang, eminem, puff d. or whatever. this album is just about loving music, fooling around with it and experimenting. i'm not talking freestyle-jazz now, there're still the beats and the mc's that keep the connection to hiphop. if you already got the bambule-album, give the remixes a try, it might be worth it & it's quite interesting. if not, check out the brilliant bambule-album! btw, if it comes to hiphop, i'm into de la soul, atcq, j5, atu and the likes (means e.g. common, mos def, and a lot of rawkus-records). and, of course, the a.b.'s! so, all you de la fan's, try it!

auch der remix lässt keine wünsche offen, February 14, 2005
auch das remake des bambule-albums lässt keine wünsche offen! vor allem die anlehnung an diamonds are forever (james bond theme) ist hörenswert! die beginner featuren die altbekannten (bo udn ferris) und jungen nachwuchsrapper (illo) der hamburger hiphop szene und bringen dabei noch jede nummer vom bambule album in ihrer klasse zum wanken! das remixed album ist auf gleicher höhe mit dem original und zeigt, dass ein gutes original bei guten musikern auch zu einem guten remake führen kann! das experimentieren mit der musik ist beeindruckend und äußerst gelungen! diese jungs wissen einfach wie man ordentlich abstylt! ... hamburg city calling! vor allem dj mad profiliert sich am turntable, während die beiden eißfelt und denyo nach dem weggang von platin madin ihr ding weiter durchziehen!
