5.0 out of 5 stars Death Metal Extraveganza , August 27, 2007
I'm not really sure but I think this album is too underrated. It seems to be quite rare aswell. I found one on ebay, so I was pretty lucky. It has the most cranked up sound I have ever heard. When I heard that Abramelin had a new CD I just had to inspect. Like most Australian death metal bands, Abramelin does it hard and furious with heaps of interesting vocal changes and musicianship that is just brilliant. These guys have a really strong sound (especially on this album). With their self-titles album ABRAMELIN (ofcourse) it was a little disappointing after hearing their Transgressions From Acheron EP (which is a must have). But don't get me wrong their self-titled album still stands as a masterpiece (I'm just a super critic). Abramelin push and pull the boundaries and limitations of the death metal genre.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PICKING UP ANY CD/TAPE/VINYL BY ABRAMELIN...THEY ARE INSANELY EXTREME FOR A DEATH METAL BAND AND SHOULD BE LABELLED 'EXTREME DEATH METAL'.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sickening., May 19, 2005
By TreyC (Australia) - See all my reviews
For those of you that thought us aussies dont have a metal scene,You have no idea.Abramelin is a band from melbourne (only 2 members for this recording)and can without doubt step up to the ranks of any Death/Gore metal band in the world.Ths is brutal stuff Multi-tempo songs,Harsh as all hell vocals and Lyrics touching on the most grotesque of subjects.Everything from Rape to a boy masturbating while he sets his parents on fire and a Nice litle ditty called Your casualty where Simon happily growls "Fu*%ked in the A$% till i bleed blue guts ,scalding my eyes with cigarette butts,My genitals bleeding i moan with desire,Plugging my ears with coat hanger wiiirrrreeeee".Definately NOT for the soft hearted.
