About the Artist
Marco, born 1959 in Italy. Self-taught musician playing with various jazz ensembles in Italy before venturing to Pune, India, in 1978, where he met Osho and became involved in the musical scene of his ashram. In the 1980's Marco traveled throughout the States and Italy playing and composing Meditation/World Music. 'Laughing Drums', (Bauer), 'Dancing Tribe', 'Let Go', and 'Inside Out', for Nazca Music mark some of his latest accomplishments. Marco currently resides in India, composing and recording music on Tantric Meditation Techniques at the Osho commune in Pune.

Product Description
As a rhythmic happening, this joyous celebration of the dancing tribes moves from tribal to samba, from soft pulsing rhythms to gypsy violins. The compositions by Marco and Somesh, are strongly influenced by playing for Osho. The combination of music and meditation in his presence and the meeting with musicians from many different cultures inspired them to this innovative blend of styles. They gathered musicians from Mexico, Chile, Japan, England, Denmark and the USA to realize this project, sharing their impressions of living and travelling in the East. This music is great for movement as well as relaxation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dance and play the night away..., October 31, 2000
By Guardian of the Zen Sea "Indigo" (Looking after the sun and surf) - See all my reviews
The Nasca label is producing some really excellent, interesting music. Located in Portugal, Nasca brings together European talent not often heard in the States. This CD, Dancing Tribe, is a good intorduction to the type of fun, dancable music the label provides. Musicians from around Europe and North America come together to share a musical impression of fusion music for dance and trance meditation. This is not a heavily synthesized album, although there are portions of the tracks which include samples and some dubbing. The overall feel of the music is more spontaneous, and reflects the inspiration of the artists who collaborated to make this CD so much fun to listen to. Try it, I truly believe that you will enjoy it. You can dance or drive or even meditate to the music. The mood is up to you.
