Product Description

Amazon.com Review
AudioSource's Project One compact loudspeakers may look a little like potatoes, but they couldn't be farther from garden-variety speakers. The Project Ones offer the convenience of tiny bookshelf speakers with the quality sound of much pricier models and the flexibility of gymnasts.

The speakers can stand upright or on their sides thanks to their pivoting gimbal stands. You can dispense with the gimbal stands altogether if you want to mount them on your wall or your trellis--they're designed for outdoor use as well.

Whether you're using them for home theater satellites or for auditioning MP3s in the den, we're sure you'll be amazed at how much bass these babies deliver--and how natural is their overall sonic presentation. Even with dynamic music containing much deeper bass than the Project Ones are capable of delivering, the speakers kick out clean, low-distortion sound.

The Project One woofers and tweeters are time-phase aligned and video shielded for placement near a TV or computer monitor. Mounting brackets are included. --Michael Mikesell

Pros:

  • Compact size, flexible built-in stands
  • Great sound
  • Weather-resistant design

Product Description
The Project One is one of the best sounding compact speakers. You can use them at trade shows to demonstrate home theater, and people will be shocked to hear such full sound from small, wall mounted speakers. They feature all weather resistant components.

4.0 out of 5 stars Impressive Sound, December 8, 2000
By Brad Mariage (Houston, Texas United States) - See all my reviews
When I originally saw the review from Amazon, I thought I would try them. I am glad I did! They do have great bass for their size. I have been wanting to upgrade my home theater system without breaking the bank so I purchased these to go along with the Audio Source SW12 Powered Subwoofer also from Amazon. They all work FANTASTIC together! The only reason why I gave them four stars(which should be four and a half) is because they lack just alittle on the high end. But that's O.K. since I have had a pair of Super Tweeters from Radio Shack that were used on my old speakers. I just really like to here super crisp highs as well as the mid and the bass. These Project Ones really provide good mid bass and mid-range to use in your home theater. I recommend the use of six of these(since they are sold in pairs)to use for your home theater. That gives you two for the front, two for the rear and two placed side by side for the center channel. Don't forget the Audio Source subwoofer either.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good sound but the mount broke!, September 28, 2004
I have two mounted outside for patio/pool coverage and they sound great. The problem is as reviewer #1 said, the wall mounts are plastic and one of mine is broken, hanging by the speaker cable. I can't find where to get a replacement mount. If you know where I can buy another one please email me! Thanks.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great speaker, lousy product, January 18, 2002
By A Customer
The sound is fine, but I broke it before I could even get it on the wall. The stands are made of a plastic that broke under minimal pressure when I was trying to adjust the angle. I'd recommend a different model.
