This was one of the better Playboy DVDs I've seen in quite awhile. Besides being a good 60 minutes long, it included not just one, but two bonus features. One bonus was a 4 minute behind-the-scenes featurette that was very typical, but the pleasant surprise was the 12 minute feature profile on Playmate Maria Checa. Half of the footage was from her 1996 Video Calendar segments, and the other half was from her segments on the Hot Latin Ladies video from a few years ago.

This DVD contained a good high quality transfer, unlike some previous Playboy DVDs that seemed to be transferred from VHS masters and looked crappy. This DVD has 7 long video segments, about 6 minutes each.

That doesn't quite add up to 60 minutes, though, does it? Unfortunately, Playboy decided to have these two guys called the Baka Boys (I think they're radio DJs) interview each girl in each segment, and unfortunately, this took up quite a bit of precious time on the DVD. This was the main reason I gave this DVD 3 stars instead of 4.

As for Playboy hotties, they are plenty here. We get to see Maria Checa 5 years later after her Playmate shoot, and she looks even hotter than before. Also here is Monica Mendez, a regular in Playboy videos/DVDs, most well-known for her Stormy Night segment on the Girlfriends DVD. I also recognized Nina Camille from the Girls of Hedonism DVD, and Miriam Gonzalez from the Newsstand specials. I did not recognize the rest of the models featured here, but one girl named Iveth Cortez looked like the bustier sister of actress Penelope Cruz. She was very hot.

And in contrast to earlier Playboy DVDs, there were a high number of crotch shots here that are more typical in Penthouse DVDs. I'm not complaining, though, as they were tastefully done. I just wonder if this is a trend that we will see in future Playboy DVDs.

Overall, this DVD is better than the Hot Latin Ladies DVD released a few years ago. Definitely a buy if you're a Maria Checa fan, at least worth a rental for any Playboy DVD fans.

This is decent soft-core pornography, with the "Photoshoot" sequence --featuring three girls at once-- particularly good. Maria Checa is in here somewhere. A pleasant surprise is hyper-popular pornstar Tera Patrick in the final sequence, in what I'm guessing is her softcore debut. She does as well as you might think, given the fact this is a Playboy production --though the fact that she is completely unadvertised is a little bizarre. But this is good, solid pornography that you won't be embarassed to have in your collection, due to the quality of the women and the fact that it's not heavyhanded in a distracting way like Playboy tapes usually are. Just fast forward past any and all vignettes --and the idiotic male cohosts-- and you'll be okay.

I've only purchased a few videos from Playboy, as I only try to purchase those that represent some of the best Playboy has to offer. This time, I am not disappointed. Beautiful and natural(for the most part) Latin women grace this video from beginning to end. The only thing that keeps this video from becoming a 5 star, in my opinion, is the lighting, which annoyingly masks some of the ladies' ahem, erogenous zones. Another thing is that guys which these fine women are trying to seduce are at times messing up the view and you feel like you want them to get the heck out of the way. Besides those flaws, this is one of the best videos that Playboy has ever produced.
