4.0 out of 5 stars Highly enjoyable avant prog, September 8, 2003
By Noel Pratt "Kaviraj" (Washington, D.C., and better places) - See all my reviews
I compare this to the concert I just saw of their new material and give it four stars where the newer stuff might get five. Bought this at the show. These guys will be just your cuppa tea if you really like Univers Zero crossed with some Ensemble Nimbus and maybe a lighter-side U Totem. Friendly quartet who play very tight but fluidly. Eric Lindberg on piano is percussive and tasteful.

4.0 out of 5 stars One of their best, October 18, 2003
By N Baker (Christchurch New Zealand) - See all my reviews
The first time I heard this, it reminded me of Supertramp in the way the piano leads the rhythms, rather than trying to supply a melody. Some of it is almost over the edge into the "avant-garde jazz" land of instrumental wankery. Only focus and the rock feel of the bank keeps it in the region of what I would loosely call progressive jazz.
