5.0 out of 5 stars an enjoyable cd set, November 1, 2000
By "bearnelson@aol.com" (butte meadows, ca United States) - See all my reviews
This album is two cd's... The first being "Ce Sera Nous" and the second being "les Chansons Commencent". So if you see them seperately, the main difference is that les Chansons Commencent has more orchestration (Hanover Pops orchestra). Both cd's are live and both are richly embroidered with great presentations, and backgrounds. Many songs are from her "Le Mot de Passe" album. However included also! among others are: "Avec le Temps", and "L'aigle Noir". The audience knows her music as they have their hearts in "Mon Mec A Moi" and one or two other songs. I suggest checking her schedule if you plan to visit Riga, Sankt Petersburg, or Europe. FYI: Another great two-cd live recording by her is "Rendez-Vous". Both "Patricia Kaas Live" and "Rendez-Vous" are highly recommendable. Enjoy. *attention NPR public radio* - let's hear some of this please.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best live ever, October 1, 2000
The "French Madonna" has done a fantastic CD. I don't know if the best part of the album are music or lyrics! Lyrics are as good as general, and there are a quite good medley too. The most fantastic part of the album is the second CD. It's a symphonic album. I suppose that all Kass fans know the very-well known song "Il me dit que je suis belle". I let you imagine how could be a symphonic version of the song!! another fantastic song is "Je voudrais la connaitre"; that make me cry in this new version.

IT IS A DEFINITIVELY MUST-HAVE ALBUM !!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Think Patricia Kaas is good? Wait til you hear her live!, July 2, 2003
By francofemme (New York, NY) - See all my reviews
I purchased this CD set in early 2001. By the summer of 2002, those two CDs were still rotating continuously in my CD carousel. Patricia performs her songs with such total emotion and enthusiasm from start to finish. Songs from some of her past albums that I had no interest in somehow magically became my favorites. "Quand J'ai Peur de Tout" is all of a sudden funky and danceable! I'm not crazy for country music but I can't help but sing along to the medley of "Quand Jimmy Dit". What can I say? Not only can this "Mademoiselle Chante Le Blues", but boy can she perform them too!

I can not agree more. One of the best voices in french music. This album was my first Kaas album and still one of my favorites.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Live Album
This singer is kind of like Celine Dion in french. She sings romantic ballads. This double live cd demonstrates that she could sound as good live as she does on the studio. Read more
