First manufactured in 1936 during art deco's later, less ornate phase, Fiestaware went out of production in the 1970s but returned in the 1980s and now enjoys unprecedented popularity. Older pieces fetch hundreds or even thousands of dollars at auction. The new line offers the original designs in contemporary colors at affordable prices. To complete a set of cobalt Fiestaware, these thick, heavy mugs are essential. Made of vitrified china with a gleaming, lead-free glaze, the mugs hold 10 ounces, are perfect for hot drinks and soups, and are both dishwasher- and microwave-safe.
