Ja Rules, October 18, 2000
After listening to the CD more and more I had to make another review. This CD has a whole different feel than his first album "venni vetti vecci." "Rule 3:36" has less of the gangster rap that his first album was so full of. I like the darker songs like "6 Feet Underground", "Die", "F--- You", and "The Rule Won't Die." But I also like the other songs like "Between Me and You", "Put it On Me", "It's Your Life", and "One of Us." I really love this album... you guys gotta check it out.

Rule is back, October 29, 2000
Where has Ja Rule been? I have no clue, all I know is that Ja Rule is back better than ever. This young talented rapper is back up in the charts with his new and 2nd album "RULE 3:36." He has officialy set a record sale with most singles sold by a Def Jam artist. Everywhere I go and everyewhere I turn I keep on hearing about Ja Rule and this album. From the malls to my school. Friends been asking me did you see the video to ja rule. I would say yup hot video and off the hook song. If you thought the hit "Holla Holla" was good you haven't heard nothin yet.Rule is exploding with his new smash hit "Between me and you," featuring the young and beautiful Christina Milian. This work of art by Ja Rule contains 16 hot songs. This cd is mostly just Rule and his partners and close friends murder Inc. but also appearences from uprising stars like Christina Milian, Jayo Felony, Lil Mo, Vita, Dave Bing, Tah Murdah, Black child and Shade Sheist. Some of the best songs(in my opinion) are Love Me, Hate Me, 6 feet under ground, Extasy and deffinately Between me and you. ... DON'T WAIT. This cd is absolutely worth it. If you thought his first album was good go out and get this one, its amazing. Make sure you add this album to your cd collection.

Ok, not as good as the untouchable "Venni, Vetti, Vecci", October 16, 2000
Ok, yes this album is not as good as "Venni, Vetti, Vecci" but that was hands down a classic. BUt once again the best rapper ever proves why he can do it again. The main difference between this album & the first is that this one is more based around murder inc. rappers rather then top name def jam artists. Instead of Jay-z, Bleek, DMX, Case there's Vita, Jayo Felony, Tah, or Black Child. The one other thing that makes this different from the first is that on the first one every song has a dark beet to it, this one has a couple beets to speak of with this kind of beet such as Die, Watching Me, & 6 Feet Underground & these are all the better tracks just for this reason. Yea Ja is still the best ever & it shows once again on this album. Now I'll break down the cd track by track. 1. Intro - Basically just a short 1 minute freestyle. 2. Watching Me - Probably my favorite song on this album, a little bit to short but still has an awesome beet along with Ja's voice. 3. Between Me and You - The first hit single, really i think there about 3 or 4 better tracks on the album but this still a very good song with a crazy beet. 4. Put it on Me - Maybe the best track, & if not it's up there. It's got a great chorus & Vita adds a nice touch to it. 5. 6 Feet Underground - A song that i think has very good potential to being the second single of this record. Has a nice dark beet with a weird sounding guy oy girl repeatign "6 Feet Underground" which is another addition to this track. 6. Love Me, Hate Me - What i think is a very week track. Pretty bad beet & just not a typical Ja song, also i think the song doesn't go well at all with Ja's voice. 7. Die - Now this is a perfect example of somehting that sounds like it was off of the Irv Gotti "Murderes" collection which is a very good sign. Has a perfect bass, dark beet to it with the loud almost screaming rap from Tah Murdah, Black Child & Ja. Not a potential single but if you liked the Murderes cd you will love this song. 8.F You - A decent track, not anything great but not a bad track. 9.I'll F U Girl - A skit that's pretty funny, nothing halirious or anything but just a 30 second comedy freestyle. 10.Grey Box - Now this just plain didn't make any sense to me. 11. Extasy - A song that has a kind of "Between me and You" beet, possibly could be made in to a single with the success of Between Me and You. 12. It's Your Life - Another just plain decent track with a pretty good beet but the chorus doesn't do much for the song. 13.I Cry - One of the better tracks on this cd, has a nice flowing beet along with Ja's unbelievable voice. 14.One of Us - Another well put together track with a nice kind of r&b sound to the chorus adding with Ja's dark voice in the verses. 15.Chris Black - Another skit were Ja & Chris Black are on the phone were Chris Black drops a 1 minute to 2 minute freestyle on the phone that's pretty impresive. 16.Rule Won't Die - Another one of the tracks that has a anything but dark beet with Ja saving it. That's about all for me so go out & buy it.
