Setup is a breeze; just replace your current scanner lid with the Lightlid transparency adapter, plug it into the accessory port on the back of the scanner, and you're ready to start scanning photographic positives and negatives, slides, and other transparent media. The Lightlid Transparency adapter works with the Microtek ScanMaker V-Series scanners. The adapter effectively doubles the power of your Microtek color flatbed scanner. Without an adapter flatbed scanners can scan only reflective materials like photos or prints. With the adapter however, the scanner is able to scan transparent materials like slides and filmstrips as well.
