Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com
As modern and contemporary as the new Charlie's Angels is supposed to be, the soundtrack, with the exception of a few new offerings from Destiny's Child, Aerosmith, and Fatboy Slim, is a nostalgic mix tape of 1970s and '80s hits. The older songs are fun and ripe for a party: Tavares's "Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel," Marvin Gaye's "Got to Give It Up (Part1)," and Deee-lite's "Groove is in the Heart" are certain to please a crowd. The new tracks, with one notable exception, are weak and contrived. Destiny's Child offers "Independent Women (Part 1)," an empty declaration of female self-reliance (aren't we over this already?). Aerosmith's "Angel's Eye" is, in a word, terrible. The exception is Caviar's "Tangerine Speedo," a trip-hoppy lounge groove that packs a sassy punch. All in all, Charlie's Angels is a solid purchase, but in spite of, not because of, the new material. --Courtney Kemp

3.0 out of 5 stars More gap filling......, December 5, 2000
Here's the list of additional songs to the soundtrack I've managed to identify so far:

Come On Baby Tell Me - Low Fidelity All Stars

Twiggy Twiggy/Twiggy Vs. James Bond - Pizzicato Five (japanese song at party)

Smack My Bitch Up - The Prodigy (alley fight scene)

Song 2 - Blur (Dylan kicks ass!)

Blind - Korn (start of movie)

All The Small Things - Blink 182 (end credits)

Money, That's What I Want - Flying Lizards (Natalie character intro)

I Love Rock And Roll - Joan Jett (I think it's this - Dylan character intro)

Simon Says - Pharoah Monch (Knox dancing)

Hope this helps...please add anymore you know.

Cheers ;-)

2.0 out of 5 stars Where the heck is the rest of the music?, November 16, 2000
By A Customer
I thought the movie has one of the very best soundtracks ever, hands down. But the CD is missing about half of the songs from the darn movie?! I was really dissapointed. BOO SONY!
