Aiwa's CADW935 boombox offers three-CD capacity, a digital AM/FM tuner with 24-station presets, and a dual tape deck. It comes with a pair of two-way detachable speakers that are capable of 5 watts output per channel. Other features include Super T-Bass enhancement and a three-preset equalizer for optimal sound regardless of the musical genre. This boombox also features Q Surround sound, a backlit LCD display, a remote control, and CD programming capabilities. Extra enhancements include a clock and CD-to-tape synchro recording.

Aiwa presents its CA- DW935. This is a 3 piece portable stereo system. The two speakers are detachable so you can place the unit on a table and extend the speakers for a wider-range stereo effect. A 110-Volt AC plug is included and it can be powered as a portable with 8 size D batteries (not included). A 5 watt per channel amplifier is built-in providing 10 watts total power for outstanding Sound and clarity. Selectable SuperT-Bass control adds a sense of depth to sound that ordinarily is absent from small portable systems - achieves a greater sense of realism. Q-Surround sound providing a simulated 3D sound enhances the stereo effect into a more immersive listening experience.The system also features AM/FM Digital Synthesizer tuner with up to 24 programmable station memories, CD Player and Changer for up to 3 CDs with 30 track (song) programmability, Dual cassette tape deck, 3-Preset Equalizer (Rock/Pop/Jazz), CD-To-Tape Synchro recording for easily recording off CDs. Backlit multifunction LCD also has a clock and timer.

Navigating through AIWA's customer service is almost as bad as dealing with the IRS. It makes their warranty practically worthless.

In my experience, the AIWA products I've owned (one shelf system, and one portable tape player) have functionally lasted about a year or less. Save yourself some money (and more importantly the headache of dealing with their customer service) and buy a Sony or a Pioneer (anything else).
