Amazon.com Review

Hoover's Dubl-Duty handheld vacuum makes cleanup a breeze. It's easy to use to pick up both dry messes and liquid spills all over the house and has no restraining cord, so it reaches every corner without any hassle. The fingertip on/off switch means it's ready to go quickly, and the handy wall-mounted recharging rack keeps it always at full power and always out of the way when not in use. The vacuum's E-Z Empty dirt cup provides a nice-sized receptacle for both dry and wet pickups, and the machine's filter is reusable and washable. It comes with a crevice tool and a squeegee. --A.J. 4.0 out of 5 stars Convenient but not completely satisfying, February 11, 2001
By Mindy Matter "mindarr" (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
This is a pretty good vac. It picks up the sorts up things you'd normally sweep up, but it's not much use for dust or pet hair. It's good at cleaning up small amounts of liquid and is easy to clean afterward. There are some drawbacks: the power drains too quickly for larger jobs; the attachments are poorly fitting and don't work very well. The Hoover Double-Duty has come in handy on a number of occasions, but I'm still searching for a better wet/dry handheld.

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy for small jobs., January 5, 2001
By Sarah K (Calif, USA) - See all my reviews
My hubby needed a small dustbuster for clean-up on network wiring jobs, and we picked this one up on sale. It has worked well for the light occassional use he gives it, but it is not the easiest to clean out. The attachments are a nice idea, but don't stay in place very well, and are more of a hindrance than a help. Overall, it's okay, but not the best.

3.0 out of 5 stars not bad, March 4, 2001
By A Customer
This vac is ok. It is a pain to clean when you after you use it to suck up water or any liquid. The attachments are pretty useless, but all in all the vac is pretty powerful.

2.0 out of 5 stars Dattery Dies
This vac worked fine for about a year and then the battery went dead. Now it will only work for a max of 5 seconds. Not a good investment.
