“Lisa Viggiano…the singer has a great belt…a real modern mix of material…an easy simplicity…everything is really cheery – no dark colors at all and plenty of smiles.” Lesley Alexander/WRTN-FM/WVOX-AM/Welcome To The Club

Product Description

New York/San Francisco Cabaret singer LISA VIGGIANO debuts her live CD "ONE PRIVATE MOMENT" featuring an eclectic mix of fresh versions of pop standards ("Folks Who Live on the Hill", "Mountain Greenery", "The Way You Look Tonight") combined with several "New Standards" and "Standards-to-Be" by songwriters Annie Dinerman, David Friedman, Marvin Hamlisch, Christopher Marlowe, and David Zippel.

With musical direction and arrangements by critically acclaimed pianist CHRISTOPHER MARLOWE, LISA VIGGIANO takes her place among the finest of the "new breed" of cabaret artists.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cabaret's Freshest Talent, November 6, 2000
By A Customer
Every cabaret singer has his or her own voice, and Lisa Viggiano's is special. Youthful, unspoiled and endearingly sincere, this debut CD showcases Viggiano's singing and acting talents perfectly. From comic and exuberant ("I'm Not My Mother," "Getting Married Today") to soulful and winsome ("Until You Let Go," "Folks Who Live on the Hill"), this engaging young singer is sufficiently subtle and professional to let the songs be the stars. Old songs, new songs, and a medley of the Fields/Kern standard "The Way You Look Tonight" and David Freidman's "What I'd Had in Mind" (artfully arranged by Christopher Marlowe) provide a comprehensive picture of a vital talent. This is a completely disarming CD by a blooming new singer, and the two original songs by Marlowe and Annie Dinerman ("This Could Only Happen" and "One Private Moment") furnish an extra treat for the listener.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spine tingling sound, June 24, 2004
Why the world doesn't know this voice by heart is beyond comprehension. This Siren's song is as smooth as silk coupled with hurricane power. Close your eyes, and she will warm your heart and fill your soul again and again and again. Not to be missed.Prepare to be moved. Absolutely delightful!
