If you are looking into using your TV as your computer monitor than ANTEC TVator is what you want. It instantly turns your computer into a DVD player and video game console. And it does all of this in the most economical manner. You can't find a less expensive scan convertor anywhere.

I wanted a scan converter that had controls were i can control things besides using my tv as a monitor,and I wanted an item that appears to be made in USA.I found one scan converter that had more controls but the manual was in Chinese.This TVator is infact made in China.I haven't tried it with my LCD yet,but i have tried it with my older Zenith with RCA composite ports.

It works right off the bat.I can sharpen the picture zoom out and in,pan it left and right,up and down etc.When I set my laptop to 1024 resolution the picture doesn't quite cover the whole tv screen so i have a small strip of black at the top and bottom.It does however cover more than my LCD does in 16:9 ratio when watching a dvd etc.

I'm generally happy with this purchase,and for $28.50 i think it was a good deal seeing what all you get with it,all the cables etc.The VGA cable could have been longer,however Radio Shack charges about the same price for a VGA cable as this whole package did.

Oh btw it says it supports everything except XP and Vista,however my laptop uses XP OS and it worked fine with it.It does say it supports Win 2000 which is basically a different version of XP.

Works great with no problems. Hooked it up and started watching movies off the net right away.
