4.0 out of 5 stars Punk is dead., July 18, 2001
By J. Frank (San Francisco) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Indiana's acoustic folk-punk outfit Calibretto 13 is abrasive and preachy, and frequently announce during their live shows that "punk is dead." In short, they are everything today's punk rocker should love. With Christian lyrics that border on revolutionary (not to mention a brilliant cover of Ballroom Blitz), C13 is all at once both the proverbial soundtrack for the narrow demographic of God-loving punks, and simultaneously a cynical self-mockery for the benefit of the equally narrow demographic of God-loving post-punk indie rockers who just happened to be walking by and stopped in to enjoy the fray.

5.0 out of 5 stars ACOUSTIC PUNK ROCK!, December 31, 2001
This is great stuff. This is an album that I can listen to the whole way through. Yeah, it's acoustic but it's PUNK. There isn't a trace of electric guitar on this. It has some folk, and ska type stuff mixed in with it. Tooth and Nail has so many great bands.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Love These Guys!!, June 9, 2001
I was first introduced to c13's music on Tooth and Nail Day at Cornerstone Festival in Illinois last summer. We were just hanging out and they took the stage and my friends and I thought they rocked!! We ran over to their merch table and bought a split CD of them and some other band that I skip over. Anyway, we loved the band and the really rad guy selling their merch. I now have this CD, and I can't wait to hear them again at this year's fest!!!
