I purchased this phone on 2/4/01 and had to get a brand new phone on 2/22/01. I am not a big cell phone user, but being a single working mom, I decided to get one to be readily available to my kids or daycare center. It worked great the first few days. I could answer the phone without opening the flip part and if there was a number already stored in the phone book or a incoming call stored,I could dial with the flip closed with the simple pressing of a few buttons. That didn't last long!!! I would say a week after I could do nothing without opening the flip. The screen would not illuminate and the words would start to reverse. I could only charge the battery if I took off the backplate and it needed to recharged ALL THE TIME!!! Some days I bnever turned it on--and it still needed to be recharged. I took it back to the dealer I got it from and he simply said "you must have gotten a bad one". Is that right??!! Not even a month went by and the phone was completely worthless-it even stopped ringing! Who needs a cell phone that doesn't ring? Not me. I paid around$100 for it and ended up spend another $150 for another less than a month later. How stupid is that? Save yourself the headache--its a cheap phone--and there is a reason for that.

Hi! I think T-Mobile has a very good cellphone prepaid service. If your phones are breaking its not T-Mobile's fault. There are different brands of phones. Some are good and some are not. Its the prepaid plan that's good. If you have problems with the unit or the phone itself just buy a new or used one at EBAY. That's what i did & i still kept my prepaid service :) Just remove the sim card from ur old phone & put it on ur new celfone. Its that easy. No need to change numbers at all. I like prepaid!!! No hassle at all! No monthly bills to worry about :)

I bought this product about 5 months ago and no major problems at all. The only thing that I really noticed was that the battery didn't last a real long time. But I have used my phone just about every day. All the functions still work on the phone and the service is good. I'm very pleased at my purchase.
