4.0 out of 5 stars Finally, my prayers answered!, February 5, 2001

(REAL NAME)
Gone are the days of trying to get this record on ebay (too many times to name of being outbid on the original vinyl release). This is a must have for any fan of the old school breakdance/ pop-lock era. I personally liked "Play at Your Own Risk" over "Planet Rock" just because there was more emotion and music happening on this track. The 12" mix is included on this disc as a bonus. Other stand out tracks are "Cheap Thrills" and the Gary Glitter cover "I Didn't Know I Loved You (til I saw you Rock n' Roll)". "It Wouldn't Have Made any Difference" is a slow ballad that slows down the momentum of the CD. The Lil Jon remix of P.A.Y.O.R. seems more like a filler than a bonus track. "Danger Zone" (remix) stays true to the original. Now if they had only pressed the CD in different colors! Excellent packaging with original artwork and nice inside design for those of us who own the original Tommy Boy 12" singles. Bring on the Planet Rock LP!

5.0 out of 5 stars Vintage & Very soulful Classics by Planet Patrol......., November 30, 2002
By Michael James Carmona "michaeljamescarmona" (South Austin, Texas United States) - See all my reviews
This was my first record I had ever purchased, purple colored vinyl. Planet Patrol was one of my favorites groups when I was growing up. This CD is packed with B-Boy classics from start to finish. We would breakdance to these jams at parties, those were the days. Buy this CD, your collection is not complete without it.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my prized posessions!!, January 18, 2002
By A Customer
I nearly fell out of my chair when I found this CD. I'd had it on cassette for years but the quality was poor. This CD is the "BEST" for early 80's street funk/breakdancing,etc. music. My favorite "I Didn't Know I Loved You (till I saw you Rock-n-Roll") really bought that era back to me. I recommend it to anyone who loved all the Planet Patrol singles that they only used to be able to get on 12 inch. This is it...get it while you can! A priceless find for late 70's/early 80's teens who remember how it felt to "jam"!!!
