Product Description
ALL THE WAY - "Airborne: All the Way" presents the use of paratroopers in the modern day conflicts of Bosnia and the Gulf War. Constantly training and always on the cutting edge of technology the men of the airborne bring fire from above and continue to wreak havoc on unsuspecting enemies. "Airborne: All the Way" focuses on the airborne units of the United States and the United Kingdom while also exploring the planes and helicopters used to deploy and support para-troopers. Techniques and technologies have changed through the years for the airborne but the requirement of bravery remains the same. LEARNING THE HARD WAY - "Airborne" qualification attracts a special kind of soldier kind of soldier often the most physically and psychologically fit and always the most willing to attack the enemy in daring and unorthodox ways. Take a journey with these elite airborne soldiers as we explore their proud history from their birth in World War I to their refinement as deadly weapons during the initial years of World War II. Battles in Africa and Sicily during World War II were pivotal and the use and success of the airborne influenced many battles that would follow. Whether Allied or Axis these "shock troops" established much of the training protocol and tradition that are still part of the fraternity of the airborne.System Requirements: Running Time 104 MinFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: ACTION/ADVENTURE/MILITARY & WAR Rating: NR UPC: 090096113593 Manufacturer No: 61135-9

3.0 out of 5 stars airborne...better than this!, January 6, 2008
good history, but not very detailed in the training aspects of the modern soldiers...a good documentary, but not a must have for those preparing for going down that road.
