Product Description

Amazon.com Review

This big, solid nonstick turner bears the signature of celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse (Bam!) on a shiny stainless-steel plate inset into its handle. And it has all the quality and convenient design features you would expect from Emeril. It's safe for use with any cookware and won't harm a nonstick cooking surface. Contoured to fit the hand snugly, the handle is soft, nonslip rubber and has a hole in its end for hanging on a hook or peg. The 5-inch-wide head has a beveled edge for slipping easily under a pancake or burger, and the handle curves to a precise angle with the head, allowing you to use the turner with minimal effort and wrist strain. Heat-resistant to 400 degrees F so it won't melt, the turner measures 14-1/2 inches long to keep your hands away from heat. For convenience, it's dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

Product Description

If you were asked to design the perfect turner you'd want to make sure it was strong, durable, easy and comfortable to use, able to withstand heat and safe for all your cookware. You might want to make sure brown sauces and tomato-based liquids wouldn't leave any lasting impressions, and you might even think to make it good-looking. Leave it to Emeril to create just such a turner!

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice shape, not heat resistant, February 14, 2004

I agree that the shape is nice, but I melted the edge on the first time out, just pressing it against the pan to separate some conjoined pancakes. I don't know what this is made of, but it isn't nearly as sturdy as the silicone spatulas I typically use.

5.0 out of 5 stars My permanent spatula..., July 9, 2001
By Marlene J. Geary "ygg" (Kissimmee, FL USA) - See all my reviews

I'll admit, I had to learn how to use this "turner" because of its shape, but now I realize that it's far better than any spatula I've ever had. I can actually flip a burger now!! (something I could never do before) I've got to check out more Emerilware. You will not be disappointed -- this spatula is definitely worth it.
