5.0 out of 5 stars Miss it, and Usagi'll slap you like she did with Mamoru!!^_^, August 9, 2001
A Kid's Review
(Don't worry, Usagi (Serena) won't slap you if you miss it. ^_^)

I got both Sailor Moon S VHS's Labyrinth and Birthday Blues at the same time, and I just couldn't stop watching the two, but I mostly found myself watching Birthday Blues over and over and over and (you get the hint^_^).

Birthday Blues was very enjoyable. Allready I was hooked on the S series the very first time I saw Pure Hearts, but when I saw Birthday Blues, I was dying to see what would happen next!!! Birthday Blues had very humorous and dramatic episodes. In "She Want's to Quit Being a Sailor Soldier? Minako's Concern", Minako (Mina in the US) misses her old life before becoming a Sailor Soldier, mainly Sailor V in England (Now presently Venus). She wants to quit and get back together with her old boyfriend from the volleyball team. But when her boyfriend is the next heart snatchers target, Sailor Venus must be able to win his pure heart crystal back in a game of volleyball unlike any she's ever played.

In "Usagi in Tears! Glass Shoes for Her Birthday", "da da da! I have a special anouncement! Today's June 30th, it's my birthday! So let's party!" (-Usagi a.k.a. Serena). Well, if you didn't notice, it's Usagi's birthday, and Mamoru (Darien) has "forgotten"! (and as a result, Usagi slaps him in the face! Only uncut viewers can see this hillarious sceen!)"What! You slapped Darien, I know you were upset because you though he forgot your birthday, but Darien called earlier and said he never knew when your birthday was!" (-Rei a.k.a. Raye explaning what a mistake Usagi made). But come to find out, Usagi never even knew when Mamoru's birthday was either! "It's ummm, October 10th, no that's my mom's, ummmm, December 25th, no that's Christmas..... Well, I guess I don't know, I'm so bad! (-Usagi) But when the two make up it's oh so sweet. When they meet, Usagi finds out Mamoru has gotten her the glass shoes she wanted for her birthday so badly, but once she puts it on, a heart snatcher appears and is after Usagi's pure heart. This episode continues to the next one ("The Pure Heart Stolen! Usagi's Bigest Crisis") on the video, when her pure heart is stolen, and Kaorinite, Uranus, and Neptune are after it to see if it had any special powers. To everyone's surpirse, it wasn't. And also, another Sailor Moon appears! (Really Sailor Venus in disguised as Sailor Moon- toooooo funny! ^_^) The "new sailor moon" tries to trick Kaorinite into believing Usagi was a fake and saved her. The plan worked like a charm. Even Uranus and Neptune fell for it! After everyone is saved and put "back into place", the showdown with Kaorinite begins. That's as far as I'll go, or this review'll become a summary of it. ^_^ You'll have to find out what happens!

All and all, I loved it. It was fully action-packed and every time I watch the first Birthday Blues episode, I must see the next! Cartoon Network did a pretty good job dubbing it, and I think it well deserves 5 stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars I know why Sailor Moon has the "Birthday Blues.", June 20, 2001
A Kid's Review
I saw this on Toonami when the show first started airing, and I noticed almost all the signs on the streets are in japanese. The show was the dubbed version. That is why certain sites don't like SOS. They think they have to change the scripts! I wish they would leave the scripts alone and only translate them. I am glad they have an uncut version of the shows with the pure heart snachers. I hope they come out with the uncut episode that Sailor Saturn appears in soon. Sailor Moon, Sailor Mini Moon (AKA Sailor Chibi Moon), Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Venus, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Uranus, and (my favorite sailor scout) Sailor Neptune star in this series. Sailor Pluto is in a few episodes in the pure heart series and Sailor Saturn appears in this series. Tuxedo Mask is also in the series. Sailor Moon got mad at Darien for forgeting her birthday so she went shoping (more like window shopping) and she found some glass slipers. So Darien bought them for her and a pure heart snacher atacked her. I won't tell you the ending. So find out for yourself!...

5.0 out of 5 stars Birthday Blues rock!, June 1, 2001
A Kid's Review
These 3 episodes would have to be my favorite episodes out of all of Sailor Moon S in the first episode poor Minako (Mina) is totally in the dumps she's really sad and she wonders if she should give up on being a Sailor Senshi (Scout) cuz all they do is battle battle battle she never has anytime for love or fun like volley ball (and she REALLY misses that) at least that's what she thinks at first I'm not gonna give away anything else bout this one you'll just find out the rest yourself ^_~ in the next episode it's a two-parter in this one it's Usagi's (Serena) 15th birthday and she's all happy and she yells to her friends that it's her birthday today they all pretend they don't remember it at first then say "Oh happy birthday" and stuff like that and they say they don't have time to be with her on her b-day and of course she turns on the waterworks so she go's to do a little window shopping and she see's some really pretty glass shoes and she thinks about Cinderella and how HER prince should buy her those shoes so she finds Mamoru (Darien) but he dosen't know it's her birthday cuz Usagi never told him so Usagi gets angry cuz she thinks he forgot her birthday and slaps him and she runs away crying Mamoru call's Rei (Raye) and asks her what's the matter with Usagi? and he tells Rei what happend but Rei says it serves him right forgetting her birthday like that but Mamoru says oh it's her BIRTHDAY no wonder she slapped me Usagi never told me today was her birthday so he goes and buys her the glass shoes but wouldn't ya know it the Heart Snatchers are after Usagi's pure heart and they rigged the shoes Mamoru goes and looks for Usagi and they find each other run to one another and Mamoru slips one of the shoes on Usagi's foot to see how it fits and the monster comes out (blah blah blah let me just finsh this thing short)the monster traps Usagi in glass and steals her pure heart but Tuxedo Kamen (Mask) stops her Kaorite steals Usagi's brooch and traps Tux in weird goo and says give up your pure heart or Tux boy dies (or something like that) and Usagi sits on the ground crying cuz she can't transform and she couldn't tell the Senshi in time in the next episode the Senshi DID find out thanks to Luna and there trying to get there in time Kaorite takes Tux to the Starlight Tower (Da Ja Vu all over again if ya saw the first season)and tells Usagi if she ever wants to see Tux again meet her at the Starlight Tower Haruka and Michiru came and took Usagi to the Tower (again let me make this short) the Senshi came and Minako pretended to be Sailor Moon (Wouldn't have fooled me but ya know those monsters are SO dumb)Usagi got her brooch back and transformed and Haruka and Michiru found out Usagi was Sailor Moon (cuz there Sailor's too and they were there hiding) anyway there's MY cliffhanger if ya wanna find out what happend watch it and see ^_~ I hope this helped ya byyyyyyyye. =^_^=
