As far as sound goes, Philips has provided this television with Incredible Surround and dbx hi-fi stereo sound for full-impact home entertainment.Philips 43P8341 TV utilizes a comb filter that improves the quality of incoming video signals to the set by better separating the signal into it's basic qualities, chrominance and luminance. A comb filter works on signals that are transmitted via composite video or RF connections. And its modern Picture in Picture function allows you to monitor one video source, such as a TV channel, the Internet, a videotape, videodisc or video game while watching another.

This is my frist Big Screen TV and hit the jackpot.. Living in a small apartment, I thought I would have to buy a tube TV to compliment my 5.1 audio investment. I was wrong. THIS PICTURE IS TOP OF THE LINE FOR IT'S SIZE. Plus with all the A/V jacks it has, I'm getting the very best out of my DVD and VCR players. I'm very happy.

For a while, I was hesitant in owning a projection TV. The reason was, the pictures were not clear, crisp and sharp. This one has proven to be the exception! It is from the first time I saw it in a store.

It has a clear, crisp, sharp hi-fi dbx stereo sound to match. It has several convenient features I use, including its P.I.P. I can not get all the local channels on satellite. So, having a separate antenna connected, I can watch the local programs and satellite simultaneously. And I can swap on the remote between which is on the main picture and which is in one of the corners.

It has a lot of convenient, easy-to-use features, as well as enough connections. It is one rear projection TV I highly recommend to everyone!
