5.0 out of 5 stars Great toy-works on many levels, February 1, 2002
By JP (Columbus, IN USA) - See all my reviews
Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
I recently purchased this toy for my 2 1/2 year old son who has a real interest in anything to do with numbers. This desk is great because it has so many levels. He plays with the counting mode, the mystery mode ( beginner level) asks him questions like find the number bigger than 6, or what comes after 12? These are great for him, perfect for what he is learning now. He loves the 45 second quiz which asks questions like "press the number 12, and what number comes before 5?". He also loves to try and draw numbers along with the game. There is an advanced level and also some addition and subtraction games that I am sure he will be exploring soon, but right now he is very happy with the beginning ones, and so am I because this toy will engage him for extended periods of playing by himself. All in all, we think this toy is great. Only gripe is its a bit too loud, but not a big deal when you look at all it does.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Exceptional Learning Desk, February 10, 2003
By "mrssymmington" (Pittsburgh,PA) - See all my reviews
Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this for my son for Christmas. The Colors are extremely attractive to a child's attention and it is very durable with a pen that remains attached so it does not get lost. The numbers are raised and do not get lost, as they too are attached to the desk. There are two levels of ability for a child to choose from and six levels within each of those levels. The desk encourages a child with positive reinforcement and also independent play. It demonstrates the proper way to form numbers and it is always patient with the child. Proper writing of the numbers increases manual dexterity and there is a button to control the volume. It has a carrying handle for easy portability for a child. It teaches subtraction, addition and word problems. It is suitable for a child just beginning to learn numbers to a child that is much more advanced. It increases attention span for a child to work from the easier to the more advanced levels. It also gives a child practice with following directions. An abacus is also included at the top of the desk.It affords challenge and a feeling of positive self esteem for a child. It is a very special desk for any child to own. Mrs. Symmington

5.0 out of 5 stars Eve loves this toy, May 9, 2003

My 3 year old got this for Christmas, she is able to recognize all of the numbers and write most of them. It is very durable, it is easy to understand when the computer is talking. One of the things I like most is that this is one of the very few toys my children have that will advance with them. It has math games for older children! I can't say enough good things about it.
