Rebirth - ichiban desu!, May 5, 2005
Wow, where do I begin? Listening to Gackt's music has been a wonderful experience. I first knew about him from the movie "Moon Child" (as you can tell, I am a relatively new fan of his~), my first impression of him was that he looked so girlie. Then I found out that he was actually was a popular singer in Japan and one day I accidently caught his song called "Last Song". I was immediately blown away. Gackt's voice is just so amazingly magnetic and beautiful, especially for an Asian male singer. I have never heard anyone with a voice this deep and this emotional.
Rebirth is the first Gackt's albumn that I heard, and I entirely loved it. I think Gackt is truly a wonderful singer in teh sense that he actually puts A LOT of emotions into his music. As you listen to each song from this albumn, you can actually feel the emotions that he is trying to convey through the song. Gackt's music is not the type that you can fall in love with at first hear, but it certainly grows on you. In my opinion, that's the best kind because you just never get tired of listening to it.
I personally like Gackt's lighter and slower songs more than the heavier instrumental ones, because I think they are better at showing off Gackt's great voice. Here are some of favorite songs from Rebirth
Secret Garden - A song to listen on a rainy day. Very sad and solemn
Uncontrol - The name is a bit weird. This is one of the heavy instrumental songs. The beginning of the song is a bit chaotic, but climax of the song is very nice.
Sayonara - One of the soft slow songs. Light instrumental background, just perfect for you to enjoy Gackt's voice
Marmalade - This is my favorite!! This song actually sounds like a teeny pop rock song. It makes you think of a breezy summer day. It's so light-hearted and playful. You might feel like jumping on your bed when you listen to it. Also, Gackt's voice also becomes very playful and happy. This song is just a perfect example of versatile Gackt's voice can be.
I also recommend you buy Gackt's Crescent. It has two great songs on there too. One is the soundtrack from "Moon Child", "Orange Sun", and the other one is "Last Song".
Don't miss out on this great singer. You might regret it! =)

Gakuto-san amazes me again ^__^, November 24, 2002
Wow, I just cant get over how talented our Gackt is. This cd is really wonderful if you want something inspiring. Its very expirimental for Gackt, and no song is the same as the next. Sayonara is absolutely gorgeous, and makes me want to cry. And I love Papa Papped a Pap Lopped, whatever the title means ^_^;
I definitely suggest this cd, but I do have to say that I like Mars more. Mars just has so much emotion to it. But dont get me wrong, I love this cd. If you dont buy it for the music,by it for the case. So many pretty Gackt pictures...>huggles cd<

Nothing But Gackt, August 20, 2005
A Kid's Review
As anyone can tell, or for those who need lots of help and need to read Gackt's auto-biography, he is neither bi nor was he with Dir en Grey. The band was Malice Mizer. Rebirth, going back to the splendour of this album, is "most definitely" one of Gackt's better albums. The only song that I haven't listened to much is Marmalade. But what ever Gackt does, whether it's doing the para para, fan-servicing through Vanilla during concerts (not a gay thing to do at all), or singing covers of John Lennon, it's all good in the hood for him. Along with Rebirth, however, if you haven't picked up "The Sixth Day ~Single Collection~", get it my friend.
