Lizzie is a soft, stuffed cloth doll who speaks several basic phrases or sentences, first in English and then in Spanish, when her hands are pressed. Her pleasant, childlike voice--powered by three AA batteries (included)--introduces herself and her dog, says the days of the week, and names her favorite animals. Lizzie also says "I love you" in English and Spanish when the red heart on her leg is pressed. She is dressed in a purple satin miniskirt, red velour attached shoes, a denim vest, and a yellow shirt, and she comes with a pink velour shoulder bag with her brown (nonremovable) dog peeking out. Lizzie has embroidered facial features, soft velour skin with pink cheeks, and crinkly black yarn hair with a red satin ribbon. Bonjour, hula, ciao, hello! The Language little soft-bodied 16" dolls represent children from foreign lands and each one speaks either French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese or Chinese. When one hand is pressed, the doll will recite one of a series of 25-30 "kid friendly" phrases (phrases may differ with each doll), first in English, then translated into the doll's native language. When the other hand is pressed, the doll will count, recite colors, numbers, days of the week, and more in both English and the doll's native language. This doll will be your childs favorite doll and the child will be exposed to different language in a fun manner. It will develop your childs language skill along with listening skills. The doll ship complete with 3 AA Batteries and a language translation booklet. Language Littles meet all government safety standards. What a wonderful way for young children to learn Spanish, or improve their Spanish. I discovered this doll in Latina magazine and decided to order it. The doll is absolutely adorable and her voice is very cute and realistic because it sounds like a real little girl. She states phrases/words in English, then repeats them in Spanish. I think this is a great find.

Learning a second or third language is easiest when you're young and the process can be lots of fun for children. Little's Lizzie Spanish speaking doll is a terrific way to give a child a head start speaking Spanish. She is a soft, cuddly stuffed doll and when her hands and/or knees are pressed Lizzie will say up to 30 phrases - first in English, then in Spanish. She counts too! The doll is 16 inches high and adorable, dressed in the latest kid's fashions and accessories. Lizzie comes with a translation booklet and a unique password to a website where children can play language games. The doll takes three AAA batteries.

Lizzie is a wonderful and educational gift for children age 3 and up. I have given Lizzie to a cousin's daughter and Ricky, her Spanish speaking male counterpart, to a friend's son. They were saying "uno, dos, tres" and "Hola! Como esta usted?" in no time! Highly recommended.

I bought this for my 2 year old niece and it turns out my 1 year old niece loves it too! They both can't stop playing with Lizzie and they include her in everything they do. It is so cute! The only thing I wish could have been put together better was the hair. It comes out very easily when pulled at. Also the clothes should be sewn on so they can't be removed but otherwise a terrific investment. As a matter of fact I will be buying another Lizze just in case the original gets too worn out.
