5.0 out of 5 stars Best USA Puzzle For 5 Year Old, October 26, 2005
My 5-year-old daughter recently surprised me with her enthusiasm to learn the states and capitals of the US. This one is great, because the base layer is states/capitals, then you have a couple of thin layers with pictures/facts about the different regions of the US, then there is a layer with 5 or 6 pieces that are the regions of the US (northeast, midwest, etc.), and the final layer is all of the states individually (a couple of small ones are combined).

Long story short, we've had it for 6 weeks, and my daughter knows all the states, their shapes, and is still working on the capitals. And it has spurred all kinds of conversation about places we've been and what people do in different parts of the country.

5.0 out of 5 stars very good map, January 3, 2007
The whole family loves this map. Only annoying part is that it's not easy to learn the capitals while you are learning the 50 states. We have to take out all pieces and extra 4 layers to get to the capitals. My daughter loves and that's all that matters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Learn the USA
This is very well made and keeps a 4 and 6 year old enthralled for a long time. The layers provide various levels of information.
